Norman McClelland (1927–2017) from Phoenix AZ descended from families who all hailed from County Down, near to the Newry and south Down areas. As an avid family historian, amongst his many other interests, Norman published four beautifully-produced histories for each of his lines including:
- Henning (Newry)
- McClelland (Cloughenramer)
- Parker (Ballykeel)
- Wright (Finnard)
Norman was instrumental in building the impressive research library as part of the Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix, now known as the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library.
