Every family’s history is unique with each story worth telling. Although genealogy is a rewarding and worthwhile passion, we know that there are aspects of Irish family history research that can be particularly frustrating, even for the experienced and well-travelled researcher.
Family historians often discover that documents or sources which could prove invaluable to their research are not available online and can only be viewed in certain archives or repositories.
There may be any number of reasons why accessing documents in the archives might not be possible or practical and the Foundation is here to help.
Our Document Retrieval service is designed to assist the family historian wishing to obtain a copy of or get access to a particular primary document but is unable to do so in person.
