Although birth certificates were not issued in Ireland until 1864, non-Catholic marriages were recorded from 1845 onwards. This database lists the District Registrar's appointed by the Lord Lieutenant to record civil marriages in Ireland. In most cases only the district is given, but the address of the office is cited on occasion.
