Description: This database contains the names of some 10,700 electors. It is interesting to note that some of those registered as electors in Dublin at this time resided outside of Ireland. For example, we find electors with an address in Hamilton, Montreal and Toronto in Canada. From further afield, we note Edward T. Mulhall and Michael Mulhall in ‘Buenos Ayres’ in Argentina. The Mulhall brothers made significant contributions to journalism and publishing in Argentina in the second half of the nineteenth century.
