This particular muster roll was transcribed by Lennard Swindley and first published in Directory of Irish Family History Research, no. 37 (2016). Although most of the names in it as recognisably Scottish, a small minority of those who mustered were of Gaelic Irish background.
At this time, spellings of names varied considerably. The make the most of the database, use only a few initial letters of a surname, e.g. 'McC'.
