Description

An Act for regulating the Trade of Ireland to and from the East Indies under certain Conditions and Provisions for a Time therein mentioned.

Classification

Trade - East India monopoly extended for 20 years from 1 Mar. 1794, EI Co. regulations binding on Ireland, cannot export military stores etc. without company's licence, act arranges for EI trade goods not to be unloaded except at Bombay, Madras, or Calcutta, merchants to indicate goods to Commissioners of Revenue before 1 Aug. each year to be shipped Oct.-Feb., makes provision for potential China trade through the EI Co.; to encourage trade with NW America under Anglo-Spanish treaty; may be expedient for ships to visit Korea, Japan and Canton, ships licensed by EI Co.
