III, c. 22, capital increased to £1,000,000 now increased to £1,500,000, subscriptions to be paid before 17 Feb. 1798; when £500,000 is subscribed Bank may borrow up to £1,500,000, Bank to pay £500,000 into Treasury as a loan for part of £3,395,696, government loans to pay £25,000 p. a. - 5 per cent on £500,000 in two parts, money to be used to pay off British loan and get discount for prompt payment, refinancing of other debt £600,000 at 5 per cent [t].
