Description
An Act for raising the several Sums therein mentioned for the several Purposes therein mentioned and for authorizing the Issue of so much thereof as hath been granted to defray the Expence of the regular and Militia Forces on the Establishment of Great Britain employed in this Kingdom and for defraying the Expence of defeating any Enterprise or Design of the common Enemy.

Revenue - army expense, British militia in Ireland - need to raise £815,555, also £500,000 for common emergency, also £300,000 to compensate those who suffered in rebellion, total £1,615,555; to be raised by issuing debenture or Treasury Bills at not more than 6 per cent interest; interest to be issued half- yearly to Commissioners of HM Treasury in England; liquidation of principal from sale of Crown rents, quit rents, etc.; English militia in Ireland under control of Lord Lieutenant and subject to Irish Mutiny Act as Irish militia; no deductions to be made from pensions of Viscount Duncan and Earl St Vincent [rv]
