This database of over 5400 names by townland covers the parishes of Clonduff, Dromara, Drumballyroney, Drumgooland, Garvaghy, Kilcoo, Kilkeel and Maghera, in County Down.
The 1803 Agricultural Census was created in response to a scare about an invasion of Ireland; the surviving returns relate to many parishes in County Down and the northern parishes of County Antrim.
The database currently includes around half the names for those County Down parishes which contained names rather than just numerical totals; the originals are held in the Londonderry Papers in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).
The returns for County Antrim are also available as a members' database.
