The Women's Work Collection (WWC) was compiled by the Imperial War Museum (IWM) between 1917 and the early 1920s as a national initiative to record the female contribution to the Great War. The story of the Women's Work Sub-Committee (WWSC) deserves greater recognition for the monumental task of gathering this material and making it available to the public.
